Reference: CCC00498Description: **** INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY****We are looking for a Development Officer to help manage the delivery of sustainable housing developments by Cambridge City Council.As part of the council’s Development team, you’ll be working as a Development Officer involved in the delivery of a range of projects including new council homes, community centres, commercial units and heritage buildings. This covers all stages, from initial strategic planning, through to feasibility, detailed design and then into construction and handover.You will become part of a great working environment which includes our partners, Hill, as part of the Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP), other council teams including Asset Management, Housing, Communities and Finance, technical specialists and other partners. Your role will include making sure the council delivers on time, within budget and in accordance with the Employers Requirements.You will have developing skills in project, contract, compliance and risk management. You will support a portfolio of work, working with our partners and stakeholders, in setting up new development projects, managing current projects, guiding design team meetings, project site meetings and public consultations/engagements. We are committed to the delivery of sustainable homes. We are carrying out Passivhaus Pilot projects and are working towards a Cambridge Standard for sustainable homes.This role is suited for someone who has some experience in Development, Surveying or Project Management in Housing with a developer, council, consultant or RP.
