Overview
To help me gain confidence and independence while supporting me to do the things I enjoy, while also providing respite for my parents. This is a part-time role that is a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay provided. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check, which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Support the individual to engage in activities they enjoy and promote confidence and independence.
* Provide care-related assistance as part of daily routines, including personal care when required.
* Ensure the individual is fed and hydrated; attend to hunger and thirst as needed to help calm them.
* Manage medication as directed and monitor overall well-being.
* Travelling to and from activities as needed; the role may involve driving or access to a car with appropriate insurance.
* Work within a team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for the individual.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Must have a National Insurance number and the right to work in the UK.
* A trial period will be conducted; the appointment is subject to satisfactory references.
* DBS (Police) Check required prior to commencement; the cost will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
* Suitable for a role that may require driving; access to a car with business class insurance is preferred.
* Preferably a female candidate due to personal care requirements; applicants must demonstrate calmness, patience, and caring nature.
