Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Children's Homes team. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting children and young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
What You'll Do
* Lead and manage a team delivering high-quality, 24-hour care and support.
* Ensure positive outcomes for children and young people through effective planning and supervision.
* Work closely with families, carers, and professionals to provide holistic support.
* Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards.
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, including supervising staff, managing rotas and bookings, and overseeing case files.
* Act as a role model by leading and supervising the staff team daily.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has extensive experience working with children and young people with diverse needs.
* Holds (or is willing to work towards) a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
* Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Is committed to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
* Can work flexible hours, including participation in an on-call rota.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Residential care home setting.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* Experience leading others, including shift leading and supervision.
* Ability to work rota providing 24/7 coverage and participate in an on-call rota.

Salary: £34,434 - £36,363 plus enhancements for weekend work and bank holidays.
