The Role
The Repairs Manager will support the RMA and Warranty process by identifying faults, managing the full repair and replacement process involving various hardware, screens, and electronic components. This role includes managing two Repairs Technicians, writing operating procedures, ensuring departmental processes are followed, analyzing data, identifying common faults, and suggesting design improvements. Key responsibilities include:
* Diagnose and repair electronic and electrical faults in returned products, including LCD screens and interior components.
* Conduct initial testing and fault finding of returned assemblies and products.
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment.
* Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
* Take ownership of the entire repair and replacement process for returned products.
* Identify faults and determine appropriate repair or replacement actions.
* Record and locate all returned parts according to company procedures.
* Write and update operating procedures, work instructions, repair manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely repairs and maintain stock levels.
* Train and support technicians to uphold high standards of work.
* Implement and maintain departmental processes and procedures.
* Manage test equipment, ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning properly.
What they're looking for
The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in electronic repairs, including diagnosing and resolving electronic/electrical faults. Experience within manufacturing is beneficial but not essential. The company is open to professionals with people management or department leadership experience seeking a new challenge, or developing technicians/operators looking for professional growth into management roles.
