Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected solicitors, to recruit a Practice Management Assistant for a permanent, full-time role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established legal practice with offices across South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will provide direct PA and operational support to the Practice Manager, assisting with HR, compliance, facilities, and day-to-day office management.
Key Responsibilities for the Practice Management Assistant role:
• Provide PA support to the Practice Manager, including diary management and administration.
• Support with recruitment, onboarding of new starters, and annual leave requests.
• Undertake note taking during HR meetings, including investigations and disciplinaries.
• Act as the central point of contact for staff, contractors, and professionals.
• Oversee health and safety compliance across all four offices, ensuring risk assessments, fire registers, and certificates are kept up to date.
• Arrange and coordinate staff training days.
• Provide reception cover when required.
• Assist with facilities management, including maintenance, insurances, and managing cleaners.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the business to provide proactive and trusted support.
Candidate Requirements for the Practice Management Assistant role:
• Trustworthy, reliable, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in HR administration, including investigations, note taking, and disciplinaries.
• IT competent with strong organisational skills and the ability to pick up systems quickly.
• Willingness and ability to travel between offices (Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, and Doncaster).
• Ideally, some legal or professional services experience, although other sectors will be considered.
