Family & Carer Ambassador (Older People's Ward)
An exciting opportunity to provide practical and emotional support to families and carers of patients with complex mental health needs, and to advocate for their perspectives and needs within the trust.
Responsibilities
* Offer practical and emotional support to families and carers of those with complex mental health needs.
* Advocate to ensure that families/carers and patients’ needs and views are heard and acted upon, regardless of their communication needs.
* Identify and address cross‑organisational challenges.
* Work closely with key agencies across the health, education, social care and voluntary sectors, including adult services where required for transition planning or additional support.
Qualifications
* Proactive, compassionate, and detail‑focused with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Passionate and sensitive about effecting change and empowering patients, families and carers.
