Mid-Level & Senior Software Engineer – North Yorkshire (Onsite, Flexible Options)
We’re looking to hire both a Mid-Level and Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in North Yorkshire. These roles will suit engineers who thrive on developing robust solutions across real-time, multi-threaded and control systems software, while working closely with cross-disciplinary teams.
While we have a clear view of the skills we’d like, we’re open to conversations with candidates who don’t tick every box but bring a solid foundation and the drive to grow.
What You’ll Do
* Deliver design projects from concept through to manufacture handover.
* Contribute design input on a variety of projects and generate new product ideas.
* Produce engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 9001.
* Support production, logistics, integration, and customer teams with technical input.
* Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
* Collaborate with sales/marketing on proposals and provide customer support.
* Work on small independent projects as well as sections of larger programmes.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong programming knowledge in C, C++ and C#.
* Experience in real-time, multi-threaded and multi-process programming.
* Exposure to GUI/HMI design (e.g. InTouch display systems).
* At least 3 years in an engineering design environment.
* LabView, WPF/MVVM.
* Visual Studio, Eclipse, MPLAB, Code Warrior, Subversion.
* Knowledge of analogue/digital electronic circuits.

What’s on Offer
* Salary dependent on experience (mid-level and senior bands available).
* 37 hours per week (Mon–Fri, with early finish Fridays).
* Option to explore a 4-day working week (salary pro-rata).
* One day WFH may be considered depending on operational needs.
* 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
* Paid overtime for salaries under £48k.
* 2x base salary life insurance.
