The Company
This organisation specializes in luxury premium food products for high-end food establishments across the UK and prestigious food halls. They are well-established with a global presence and are expanding rapidly with new facilities and additional experienced staff.
The Role
The purpose of this position is to support the HR team with generalist HR duties, including:
1. Being the first point of contact for all HR/ER queries, focusing on shift workers in warehousing and transport (operations) departments, working collaboratively with the HR team.
2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with Operations and employees.
3. Managing initial ER issues such as absenteeism, disciplinaries, and grievances. Assisting and guiding managers in decision-making.
4. Monitoring holidays and overtime, setting payroll, and managing bonuses.
5. Understanding business issues and supporting improvements, priorities, and key drivers to ensure HR influences all key business decisions.
Your Skills & Experience
To be considered, you will need:
* Experienced HR professional with knowledge of employment legislation and CIPD Level 3 qualification.
* Background in food & drink manufacturing or distribution industries.
* Solid experience working with shift workers in warehouse & transport/operations.
* Thorough experience handling ER cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, absenteeism, attendance, and holidays.
* Excellent communication skills, sound IT skills, and a positive attitude.
* Highly analytical and IT literate.
