THE EMPLOYER IS: BANGOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LTDThe Bangor Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide administrative and organisational support to senior staff. The successful candidate will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operations, support events and meetings, and assist with coordination across member businesses and community partners.This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a professional, positive approach.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support, including diary management, email handling, and meeting scheduling.
* Prepare documents, reports, agendas, and meeting minutes as required.
* Act as a first point of contact for member businesses, visitors, and external partners.
* Support the planning and delivery of Chamber events, workshops, and networking activities.
* Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems (digital and physical).
* Assist with social media posts, websites updates, and communication materials.
* Handle general office duties such as answering calls, organising supplies, and processing mail.
Skills and Qualifications
* Able to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, business members, and the public.
* Strong written communication for drafting emails, reports and promotional content.
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Keeps diaries, schedules, and workstreams accurate and up to date.
* Works independently and ensures deadlines are met.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and cloud-based tools.
* Able to maintain databases and record systems accurately.
* Comfortable producing polished documents and presentations.
* Ability to assist with planning logistics, communication, registrations, and materials for Chamber events.
* Experience working within a business support, community organisation, or membership body.
* Familiarity with social media scheduling tools or basic website editing.
