Are you a dedicated and qualified English Teacher with a passion for literature and language? We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher to join our secondary school in Newport. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to the individual needs of students.
* Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for English literature.
* Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and share best practices.
* Prepare students for assessments and examinations, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for success.
* Instill a passion for reading and writing among students, nurturing their linguistic talents.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
* Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the English curriculum.
* Effective classroom management skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Dedication to cultivating students' language and literary skills and a genuine passion for the subject.
Working Hours:
* This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, following the school's operating hours.
