Main duties of the job
The Care Assistant – Nights role at Avery Healthcare in Droitwich Spa involves providing high standards of personal care to residents, including assisting with hygiene, maintaining dignity and respect, recognising and understanding clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infection, and escalating issues in a timely manner. Courteous interaction with residents and their visitors is crucial, as is practising safe systems of work. While experience is not required, successful candidates must communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative, and be flexible to cover a range of responsibilities, with training and induction provided.
Responsibilities
* Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls and signs of infection and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

* Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
