We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with an interest in communications to join our small team as an ACRO Corporate Communications Assistant.
About the role
You will play an essential support role within the communications team and your work will include:
* Supporting internal communications activity, including compiling our weekly staff bulletin
* Carrying out research into promoting ACRO through its website and social media
* Providing promotional support for events and activities run by ACRO’s staff groups
* Researching and drafting content for internal and external channels
* Ensuring our team’s intranet pages and document libraries are well-organised and managed effectively
* Taking photographs at events and maintaining our image consent library

ACRO Criminal Records Office supports UK and international law enforcement by processing criminal records for the purposes of public protection, safeguarding and worldwide community safety.

The ideal candidate will have a CIPR/CIM Foundation (Level 3) OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level, awareness of the communications environment or associated tasks, experience of working in a busy office, experience of using social media in a professional or volunteer capacity, and evidence of an interest in police or public sector work.
