This beautiful Elizabethan Ham stone manor house is surrounded by formal gardens, lawns, orchards, parkland and overlooked by the ancient St Micheal's hill all of which having been in the care of the National Trust since the early 1930's.Having featured in many feature films as well as TV programs and famous for its beauty Montacute House attracts over 150,000 visitors per year (the largest in the portfolio) and is open 363 days per year.Starting in late 2025 the house is seeing a major project in repairing and strengthening both staircases.
