Support Worker
Pay rate: £14.50 per hour
Shift Pattern: Day Shifts - 8am-8pm
We have a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated personal Support Worker to assist an individual living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in Plymouth. This role focuses on providing support in daily activities, helping maintain independence, and supporting family life.
The role includes engaging in activities outside the home, such as soft play, parks, and cinema visits. Local knowledge of Plymouth and the ability to drive a mobility vehicle (full UK Driving Licence) are essential.
Enriching activities are a key part of the support, requiring an empathetic approach. Previous experience in areas such as MND, tracheostomy management, ventilation, PEG, and communication assistance via eye-gaze systems is preferred.
This role aims to support a person who values family highly, especially their children, by helping them remain active and involved in family life. Patience, kindness, and dedication are vital qualities.

* Providing high-quality, tailored care on a 2:1 basis
* Engaging in meaningful activities and community outings to promote social interaction and well-being
* Supporting household tasks to maintain a comfortable, organized, and independent living environment
* Building trusting relationships through clear and confident communication in their preferred manner
