Axon Moore are exclusively partnering a high-growth business in Chorley as they look to bolster their finance team with the addition of a Purchase Ledger Clerk capable of hitting the ground running in a fast-paced Accounts Payable position.
This is a permanent position and is well suited to candidates seeking both full-time and part-time hours. Either five full days, five short days/school hours, three full days, or whatever else works best for you.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Processing a high volume of purchase invoices and dealing with complex queries and any problematic accounts
Preparing and assisting with the payment run and manual payments.
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Supplier account maintenance and set up
Managing accounts payable inbox and responding to both internal and supplier queries
Answering accounts payable calls and dealing with them accordingly
First point of contact for all queries.
Assisting with carrying out the yearly audit process
Providing support to the wider business relating to purchase order raising and queries
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Overflow cover for reception calls if required
Any ad hoc duties as required
Required Skills and Experience:
Good IT and MS Excel skills
Able to build and maintain long-lasting working relationships

Good attention to detail and analytical skills
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Able to work collaboratively and independently
