What you will do
* Create and maintain a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers. You will achieve this through business development and promotion of the Metro Bank brand and products.
* You need to build key relationships with key internal stakeholders.
* Demonstrate ability to maximise the customer relationship whilst being compliant during customer interactions with awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
* Make lending decisions to support Metro Bank’s business objectives whilst reinforcing the correct Metro Bank operational processes and ensuring we get things right the first time for the customer.
* Responsible for credit risk and financial crime risk of your portfolio.
* Ability to generate new business.
* Support retail colleagues in local Stores.
* Portfolio and relationship management experience.
* Track record of generating new business.
* Hitting or exceeding personal and business objectives.
What you will need
* Excellent communication and customer/client relationship management with the ethos of providing exceptional customer service.
* A self starter, motivated to meet or exceed your own personal and business objectives.
* Ability to build rapport internally and externally.
* Sound knowledge of commercial banking.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of the products we offer.
* Ability to understand and write credit papers to the required level.
* Awareness of financial crime and “what good looks like”.
* Portfolio and relationship management experience.
* Track record of generating new business.
* Hitting or exceeding personal and business objectives.
* Any other duties as required that reasonably fall within the role.
