Job Title: Principal Signal Processing Engineer

Job Description
Join a dynamic role at the forefront of real-world demands in the defence industry. You will ensure operational excellence for existing products and develop next-generation radar systems to counter emerging threats, contributing to new technology strategies. Your daily activities will involve applying engineering principles across the entire development lifecycle to develop radar systems used by those who serve and protect us.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the design and development of a signal processing platform for next-gen radar systems using Systems Engineering principles (ISO 15288).
* Collaborating with design leads, engineering teams, and stakeholders to align technical efforts.
* Managing system and sub-system requirements using IBM DOORS Next and creating design specifications.
* Building MATLAB models to support algorithm development, testing, and performance validation.
* Planning and executing integration and testing of the signal processing platform within the radar system.
* Promoting best practices in design, modelling, and integration for reliable and scalable radar solutions.
Your skills and experience
* Strong understanding of Signal Processing algorithms and their real-time, software-driven implementation.
* Understanding of the interaction between algorithms, software, and hardware platforms.
* Proficiency in MATLAB modelling and applied mathematics.
* Higher education qualification (or equivalent experience) in a STEM discipline.
* Experience applying complex Signal Processing techniques in radar system development.
