This is an integral role within the Export & Logistics department to provide operational support to the Export and Logistics team. Warehouse and shipping, experience essential to fulfil overseas customer orders.
In addition to the tasks detailed in this job description, there may be additional tasks which are not noted in this document which will be required as part of this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Experience working as part of a busy Warehouse team to pick and pack customer orders ready for despatch.
* Coordinate all goods-in receipts and liaise with other departments to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business.
* Liaise with Logistics team to meet agreed on-time shipment deadlines from each business unit.
* Knowledge of ERP inventory system conduct inventory transactions and control stock accuracy.
* Assist in the organisation of daily and weekly groupage shipments.
* Support 6S and housekeeping procedures so that all materials are stored in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.
* Ensure compliance with all agreed Health & Safety standards within office and warehouse environments.
* Ensure day to day work is completed effectively and in a timely manner.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Counterbalance forklift truck licence is essential.
* Combi-lift forklift truck experience is desirable.
· Strong teamwork skills.
· IT and communication skills.
· Ability to problem solve and propose improvement ideas.
* Good Health and Safety principles
Shift Pattern: Days; however, expectation is to be flexible and willing to work overtime.
Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 16.30 and Friday 08.00 – 14.30
Rate of pay £12.75 per hour.
25 days holiday per year; plus Bank Holidays
Company pension after 3 months
