About the Role
Are you an experienced Psychologist looking to take the next step in your career? Join our team at Stanley House in Ledbury, a service for men and women with neurological conditions, including Acquired Brain Injury, progressive neurological conditions, and complex dementias. This is a one-day-per-week (7.5 hours) position providing consultancy to other professionals for goal-oriented care, treatment, and assessments, supported by an Assistant Psychologist. You will be part of a growing network of psychologists across neurological services.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake high-quality specialist psychological interventions on a referral basis.
2. Supervise and support the professional development of an Assistant Psychologist.
3. Work therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, using structured psychometric and clinical assessments.
4. Formulate and implement plans for psychological interventions.
5. Maintain professional and legal responsibility for all psychological practices, adhering to HCPC standards and organizational policies.
Requirements
1. Hold BPS-recognized psychology degrees and Chartered Psychologist status.
2. Registration with the HCPC.
3. Approved supervisor status within BPS guidelines.
4. Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice.
5. Experience applying psychological knowledge in neurological services and working with clients with neurocognitive deficits.
6. Experience in research and project work.
Location
Stanley House, Bosbury, Hereford, HR8 1HB. The service offers multidisciplinary care, including physiotherapy, art therapy, and input from neuropsychiatry professionals.
