Job Title: Accounts Manager
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-time, Office Based
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Manager/ Finance Manager to join a forward-thinking and innovative organisation based in Warrington. This role will suit a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a small finance team and working within a fast-paced, international environment.
The Role:
As Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day finance function, managing a small finance team, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across UK and European entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a small finance team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations
* Oversee preparation of month-end and year-end financials, including fixed assets, journals, prepayments, accruals and foreign exchange revaluations
* Manage multi-currency sales reconciliations and cashflow processing
* Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
* Liaise with international head office to support group consolidations
* Prepare, submit and reconcile VAT returns across the UK and Europe
* Produce and submit monthly statistical and financial data
* Manage the full month payroll processing for UK and European employees
* Maintain and oversee a company-wide contract audit
* Support budget preparation and reconciliations
Key Requirements:
* Qualified by experience, AAT qualified, or similar
* Strong knowledge & experience of UK payroll
* Experience working within a finance or accounts department, with responsibility for managing a small team
* Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Index Match
* Excellent financial analysis and planning capability
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
