Teaching Assistant required in Cardiff with an immediate & September start

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team within a special resource base at a Secondary school in Cardiff. The base fosters an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment for pupils with Additional Learning Needs, assisting with daily tasks and life skills.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
2. Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional assistance with their learning.
3. Implement individual education plans (IEPs).
4. Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
5. Collaborate with teachers and professionals, assisting with personal care tasks and supporting learners in developing social and emotional skills.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
1. A passion for supporting children with SEN.
2. Experience supporting needs such as Autism & ADHD.
3. Experience managing challenging behaviour and de-escalating situations is desirable.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service (or willingness to process one through ZEN).
6. Fluent in English.
7. Valid Right to Work in the UK.
8. A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting children with SEN.
