About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Liverpool area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic educator to inspire and nurture students.
Position Details:
1. Location: Liverpool
2. Type: Long Term
3. Start Date: 22nd April 2025
4. Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
5. Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
6. Pay: Competitive, paid to scale
Responsibilities:
7. Teaching and Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels. Encourage and develop students’ creative thinking and artistic skills.
8. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with educational standards.
9. Student Assessment: Evaluate and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain accurate records of student performance and development. Prepare and administer assignments, projects, and examinations.
10. Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and respect. Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
11. Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends and best practices in art education.
12. Communication: Provide support and guidance to students in their artistic endeavours and career aspirations.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
13. Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
14. Previous experience in a UK school
15. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)
Eligibility Requirements:
16. Right to Work in the UK
17. Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
18. Two professional references
