We’re thrilled to invite applications for an enthusiastic and well-organised Construction Instructor/Technician to join our dynamic team at the Bicester Construction Centre. As our department continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate individual eager to work in education and support students in developing their practical construction skills.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in a construction trade or a solid understanding of the practical skills involved. You will be expected to support a range of trade areas, including plumbing, electrical installation, and wood trades. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert in all areas, we provide training and ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting teachers in workshops to develop students' practical skills
* Ordering materials and managing stock levels
* Maintaining high standards of workshop organisation and cleanliness
* Working collaboratively within a supportive team environment
* Experience or knowledge in construction trades
* Enthusiasm for working in education and supporting learners of all ages
* Confidence in engaging with students and colleagues
* A team player with a positive and proactive attitude

This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, with a working pattern of Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day. The role is based at the Abingdon / Witney & Bicester Campus and is a permanent position.
