Job Description
We are looking to appoint two experienced Teaching Assistants to join our supportive, hardworking and successful Cognition and Learning Team within Nottinghamshire County Council’s SEND Inclusion Service.
* Model, advise and deliver effective strategies/interventions to improve outcomes for children and young people with complex cognition difficulties in Key Stages 2–5.
* Use positive and inclusive approaches to support school staff, liaise with parents, and engage directly with children and young people where appropriate.
* Work closely with specialist teachers on the team.
* Support a collaborative, solution‑focused working environment across the County.
* Drive is required as a significant component of the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Experienced Teaching Assistant.
• Highly motivated, creative practitioner who enjoys collaborative work.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undertake appropriate background checks (Disclosure and Barring Service).
