Our client is based in Redditch and is looking for a Buyer to join their well-established team. The company is a leading groundworks sub-contractor with projects across four regions of the Midlands.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring adherence to and development of procedures & systems for the internal ordering of materials and goods from sites and locations.
2. Ensuring company compliance with relevant procurement and environmental legislation regarding purchasing and management of goods from sustainable sources and items under COSHH regulations.
3. Inputting internal orders of materials and goods from sites and locations.
4. Managing goods receipt into the financial system, including raising purchase orders, allocating internal sales orders, receipt of stock, stock adjustments, and credit notes.
5. Providing procurement support to site teams regarding the availability and type of materials and goods, considering market conditions and cost control best practices.
The salary offered is £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and level.
