What the job involves In this role, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment, working to manufacturers' recommendations, health and safety requirements, and Ministry of Transport regulations. You will maintain documentation, ensure a clean and safe workshop environment, and liaise with different departments to meet operational demands. This involves responding to service requirements across Conwy County, including breakdowns and repairs. You will also engage in diagnostics, parts ordering, and providing recommendations for improving service delivery. Participation in corporate responsibilities and adherence to policies, including health and safety and equality principles, are integral to the role. Skills Level 3 NVQ Light Motor Mechanics or equivalent Experience in HGV level 2 maintenance and repair Excellent understanding of health and safety applications Competence in using diagnostic tools and equipment Proficiency in electrical vehicle testing and repair Effective communication and teamwork skills Abrade wheels training and competence Manual handling capability Ability to work in all weather conditions
