Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
Working Pattern: Full time (37.5 hrs per week) – Hybrid Working

About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Group Leader for the Advanced Nuclear Technologies Group, which contains individuals operating from our Burton, Bristol and Gloucester offices. As the Advanced Nuclear Technologies Group Leader you will oversee a team providing specialist nuclear SQEP to our established new nuclear clients (e.g. SMR/AMR, Gigawatt nuclear, defence nuclear, fusion) and nuclear manufacturing SQEP into both the new nuclear and nuclear waste management supply chains.
What you’ll do
* Set out a vision and an annual plan for the group, in the context of the overarching company strategy.
* Grow our people and enhance our capability, through staff development and review, recruitment, training and skills development.
* Lead the group on a day‑to‑day basis, collaborating across the business to manage a balance of workload for your team across client-facing work, business-creating opportunities and development activities to deliver against group performance indicators.
* Regularly fulfill technical leadership and project governance functions, acting as a role model for high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle, collaborating across the business to support multi-disciplinary offerings, and guiding your team in the correct application of our QMS.
* Be client-facing – develop requirements, negotiate contracts/agreements, manage work packages, and play a key role in technical and commercial risk management.
* Technically oversee and/or govern projects such as secondments to Rolls Royce SMR, EDF nuclear operations support, provision of UK nuclear SQEP expertise to SMR providers to assist them through ONR GDA assessment, conducting manufacturing technology and capability assessments, or helping develop automated welding/cladding techniques for new reactor core manufacture.

* Ability to develop and implement a customer-focused group strategy, to create a shared sense of direction and ensuring the team continues to evolve.
* Extensive experience in providing clear technical leadership and maintaining project governance in the nuclear sector, ideally with experience in a technical consultancy environment.
* An individual with a dedicated customer focus, who will build trusted and productive relationships with our current and future customers in the nuclear domain.
* In‑depth knowledge and experience of the civil nuclear sector, especially advanced nuclear technologies and/or nuclear manufacturing techniques.
* Degree level qualification in a relevant academic area, ideally Chartered or equivalent status, with membership of a relevant professional body.
