The Role
As an Account Executive at Ogilvy you will learn and be responsible for the core skills of the project and client management that will form the basis of your future career. The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s experience, champion diverse thinking and approaches, has a passion for creativity and innovation, and is committed to delivering results for clients. You will work with your account team to learn about both agency and client business, and will take on smaller projects, which you will manage end to end with the support of your senior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Media relations, selling-in to secure coverage for your brands in a broad range of publications
* Drafting press releases considering product and/or campaign details
* Managing small projects and supporting more senior colleagues on larger projects
* Building strong collaborative relationships with junior level clients
* Staying up to date on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies, sharing insights and recommendations with clients and internal teams
* Monitoring and analysing campaign performance including coverage reporting and measurement
* Developing and delivering presentations and reports to clients
* Providing administrative support, including status reports, meeting scheduling, budget tracking, competitor reviews
* Staying on top of your projects and their finances, including raising POs and organising payments to suppliers
* Ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures such as timesheets and setting up suppliers
Requirements
* Interest and/or experience working on high-profile global brands is desired
* 12 months’ proven experience working on campaigns and events with press and influencers
* Strong media contacts and a solid understanding of the UK media landscape – able to deliver coverage and brand storytelling in a cluttered space
* Ability to tap into culture and advise clients on moments, partnerships, and reactive opportunities
* Proven track record of managing smaller projects and delivering results for clients
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building productive relationships with clients and internal teams
* Organised and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills
* Can-do attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
* Able to think creatively and bring new ideas to drive client success
* Experience working with influencers in earned, paid, and owned channels is desired
* Demonstrates ability for creative problem solving in approaching tasks – considering different angles on briefs and co-creating inspiring ways to sell in the work
* Experience in a fast-paced agency environment working on both global and local projects is preferred
