Red Sky Personnel is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Business Analyst to join a leading regional airline’s IT department in Guernsey - where this role will be based (with relocation support offered)
This is a key role where you’ll be instrumental in aligning business needs with IT solutions—aviation industry experience is essential.
About the Role:
As the IT Business Analyst, you will act as the link between airline business units and the IT department. Your mission: to enhance customer experience through effective analysis, documentation, and implementation of IT-driven business improvements. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle of IT solutions—from requirements gathering through to implementation and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and analyse business requirements through direct engagement with stakeholders.
* Draft and refine detailed Business Requirement Specifications including test cases, flowcharts, and mock-ups.
* Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
* Conduct comprehensive testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
* Create and deliver end-user training and documentation.
* Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables.
* Lead daily stand-ups and regular progress meetings.
* Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests.
* Contribute to website CMS updates as needed.
* Identify industry innovations and recommend them to the business.
* Provide monthly reporting on project and support activities
Requirements:
Essential:
* Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within the aviation industry (e.g., airline, GDS provider, or aviation tech).
* Strong working knowledge of airline reservation systems, GDSs, and passenger service systems (e.g., PPS – IBE, DCS, Analytics & Reporting).
* Proven experience managing IT projects in an Agile/Scrum environment.
* Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
* Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and business process design.
* Fluent in English with the ability to travel as needed.
Desirable:
* Website development or CMS experience.
* Background in working within a decentralised corporate structure.
* Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
* University degree or extensive, demonstrable experience in the airline industry.

Salary: £55,000 per annum
