Do you want to work for an organisation that values difference and includes everyone?
Then the Environment Agency is the organisation for you.
Your work will help the Environment Agency inspect, repair, maintain, and manage our flood risk assets, and work with others to ensure the delivery of river maintenance across the area. Our flood risk assets (such as flood walls, embankments, and flood storage areas) reduce flood risk to people and properties throughout Hertfordshire and North London.
You will help manage our asset data to ensure it is of the best quality and can be relied upon to inform our future investment programme and make evidence-based decisions across our asset management activities. You will also assist other team members to ensure that projects delivering refurbishment, replacement, or new flood risk management assets provide the most appropriate long-term solutions and are safe to maintain.
You will use your excellent communication skills to liaise with internal colleagues, external organisations, and customers who require help or information from us.
Responding to incidents is a central part of our work. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract additional payment, and full training and alternative working arrangements will be provided to support you with your incident role.
