We are seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Applications Technologist. This role combines scientific research, hands-on fieldwork, and computational modelling to develop new applications, solve customer challenges, and accelerate adoption across diverse industries.
You’ll bridge the gap between engineering and market needs — from running CFD simulations and on-site validation trials to identifying new growth opportunities and communicating insights that shape strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and refine technology applications across multiple sectors.
* Conduct research and literature reviews to inform new product and application development.
* Run computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations (e.g., ANSYS) to evaluate and optimise performance.
* Lead and execute on-site practical studies in collaboration with global partners.
* Collect, analyse, and present data from modelling and experimental trials.
* Create tools and guidance for system sizing and specification.
* Identify emerging opportunities and support investment prioritisation.
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused communication.
* Contribute to technical and commercial materials for internal and external audiences.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and commercial teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Candidate Profile
* Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
* Experience with computer-based modeling (CFD, MATLAB, Python).
* Strong research and analytical skills; adept at interpreting and communicating data.
* Commercial awareness and product management exposure.
* Excellent communicator capable of simplifying complex technical information.
