Senior Internal Communications Manager
Salary – Circa £85,000
As Senior IC Manager, you’ll help our people connect to our purpose, live our values, and become advocates for Aviva. You’ll help drive engagement and alignment behind Aviva’s strategic business priorities, helping create clarity for people on their contribution to these.
You'll be the beating heart of our Internal Communications team, creating and delivering campaigns and communications from brief to execution to connect people to our purpose, strategy, and values and to help them do their best work.
You'll partner widely across a range of teams and build relationships across an extensive network of leaders and colleagues.
A bit about the job:
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
1. Proactively owning, developing, and delivering multiple insight-led and outcome-focused internal communications, campaigns, and events to build best-in-class employee pride, customer focus, and brand advocacy.
2. Building strong and trusted relationships with senior leaders, supporting leadership visibility and engagement.
3. Crafting engaging campaigns that inform and inspire our people, measuring outputs to capture success.
4. Working with the rest of the Internal Communications team to make sure everything we do drives maximum employee engagement with our people—especially those in hard-to-reach roles (customer-facing teams). This will often involve extensive stakeholder management and rolling your sleeves up to make things work.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
5. Have a wealth of experience in internal communications, having previously managed IC for large-scale business integration programmes.
6. Be full of ideas and know how to execute them. Be comfortable leading and rolling up your sleeves to get stuck in with delivery.
7. Be a people person and a great teammate with low ego and high EQ—energetic, positive, and a welcome addition to every room.
8. Be highly organised, adept at managing multiple stakeholders, and have an exceptional eye for detail.
9. Be an exemplary teammate, at their best when working within a collective to deliver a shared vision. Capable of building relationships fast and inspiring confidence in all around them.
What you’ll get for this role:
10. Salary – Circa £85,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
11. Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary, actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
12. Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in
