Duty Practitioner - Males Homelessness Scheme

As a Duty Practitioner youll provide support and advice to people who have experienced homelessness at our male or female scheme. Youll make sure customers feel comfortable and can manage their tenancy, as well as signposting them to other support such as housing, health and welfare.
This role is 37.5 hours on a rota basis, covering 8am 11pm, Monday to Sunday.
Job requirements
1. Provide and maintain a friendly and supportive environment at the scheme.
2. Support customers to manage their rent and service charge payments, including their benefit claims where necessary.
3. Complete detailed sign-ups to make sure new customers understand their rights and responsibilities. Assist with all areas of move-in to make sure new customers feel comfortable and informed about their tenure agreement, the local area and other services.
4. Support customers by providing advice on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other areas. This includes crisis intervention where necessary.
