Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Grid Automation team. We are looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record in executing customer projects. Supporting and strengthening our team in Hitachi Energy UK, ideally someone with experience in High & Medium voltage substations, you will be responsible for managing the entire project. This includes representing Hitachi Energy's commercial and contractual interests and managing all stakeholders (internal & external).
Our Project Management team in Hitachi Energy UK is expanding. This role in the area of Grid Automation (high & Medium voltage substations, Protection and Control - RTU, SCADA, DCS) is suited for someone with a proven track record in end-user facing projects in the Transmission and Distribution market, with customers including National Grid, SSE, Scottish Power, as well as EPCs and DNOs.
You should be skilled in planning and forecasting activities using tools such as SAP and Primavera P6 / Microsoft Projects. You will manage projects from inception to warranty, representing Hitachi Energy's interests and managing negotiations in line with FIDIC, NEC 3/NEC 4 standards.
How you'll make an impact:
1. Implement projects within the area of Substation Automation.
2. Manage projects from initial handover from Sales to completion.
3. Coordinate an international project team and oversee resource use.
4. Maintain open communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Manage customer contracts and all commercial and contractual aspects.
Background:
1. Experience in Power Transmission projects.
2. Electrical and Control Systems / Computer Networks engineering background.
3. Based in UK Mainland, willing to work in Stone 3 days a week.
4. HNC/HND/Degree with 3-5 years experience.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe.
7. Chartered Engineer or Professional Project Manager certification.
8. Clean UK driving license.
