Your new role
As an HGV Mechanic, you’ll carry out inspection, maintenance and repair work on a diverse fleet including HGVs, LGVs, plant equipment and specialist municipal vehicles. You’ll ensure all vehicles meet statutorypliance, safety standards and operational readiness.Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting routine servicing, MOT preparation and safety inspections
2. Diagnosing faults andpleting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
3. Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
4. Ensuring all work ispleted in line with health & safety and local authority standards
5. Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workshop environment
What you'll need to succeed
6. Time‑served HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician (or equivalent)
7. Experience working on HGVs and/or municipal fleet vehicles
8. Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
9. A proactive approach and ability to work independently
10. HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
