Role Overview – CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn)
We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer of high-precision, complex mechanical components in the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced, apprentice-trained CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn/Turner) to join their skilled manufacturing team on a permanent basis working on a double day shift.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn)
* Set and operate CNC turning and mill-turn machinery
* Produce complex, high-precision components from a variety of aerospace-grade materials to extremely tight tolerances
* Full setting responsibilities, including tooling, fixtures and program adjustment/proving
* Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
* Complete all necessary quality documentation and maintain full traceability
* Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives on the shop floor
Key Experience & Qualifications – CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn)
* Minimum 3 years' proven experience as a CNC Turner/Mill-Turn machinist
* Completed apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification (highly desirable)
* Strong background in precision engineering; aerospace or similar high-specification industry experience strongly preferred
* Confident editing and proving programs at the machine control
* Excellent drawing interpretation and geometric tolerancing skills
* High attention to detail and a consistent right-first-time approach
