About Us – Legal And Business Affairs
The Label Legal Team (part of the broader Legal & Business Affairs Team) provides legal and business affairs support to all Universal Music UK labels including the Polydor Label Group, Island EMI Label Group and Decca Records.
The Role
Working alongside other members of the team the role comprises providing a full range of legal services to all the UK labels to support all their functions through from signing new artists and contracting with featured artists, producers, remixers and video producers to running consumer competitions and other marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
* Agreements for:
o Artists
o Featured artists
o Producers, remixers and mixer
o Video production
o Competitions
o Samples
o Tour support
* Overseeing and administering:
o Deal approvals
o Option diaries
o Rights management systems
o Litigation matters
Skills, Experience, Qualifications And Behaviours Required
* Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
* Minimum of 2 years experience in music and media law
* Team player
* Self-sufficient
