Attendance Administration Officer
Location: Northampton

Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Teaching Personnel is seeking an organised and proactive Attendance Administration Officer to join a supportive secondary school in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience—ideally in an education setting—to play a vital role in improving student attendance and supporting the smooth running of the school’s attendance systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor daily student attendance and punctuality.
* Make follow-up calls to parents and carers regarding absences or lateness.
* Maintain accurate attendance records using the school’s management information system.
* Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and safeguarding teams.
* Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies where required.
* Support general administrative duties within the school office.
Requirements
* Experience in education administration is essential.
* Previous attendance administration experience is strongly preferred.
* Confident using MIS software (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom or similar).
* Excellent communication, organisation, and customer-service skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment.
* Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
