We are looking for Front of House Assistants to join the team at The Light. Opening in summer 2026, The Light will bring together art, science, history, creativity and community, welcoming up to 100,000 visitors a year. This is a rare opportunity to play a defining role in launching a major new cultural venue. WHAT IS INVOLVED? As a member of the Front of House team as Front of House Assistant you will support the delivery of all aspects of day-to-day operations. You will be part of a positive, motivated team to ensure income targets are met or exceeded, while ensuring The Light is welcoming, safe, accessible and brilliantly run. You will be: A team player with experience of working with customers from a wide range of backgrounds in a customer facing environment. A skilled communicator skilled in delivering exceptional Front of House operations. The first point of contact for customers, contractors and partners, welcoming visitors and ensuring that enquiries are dealt with professionally, politely and promptly. You’ll hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or be willing to work towards one), with experience in a customer-facing role and cash handling. You’ll be ICT-literate, communicate confidently, and take pride in delivering a positive experience for every customer. Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.
