The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of family and matrimonial matters while working closely with a Senior Partner. This is a great opportunity for a junior lawyer ready to grow, take ownership of cases, and gain hands-on experience in complex and sensitive matters.
Key Areas of Work:
* Divorce and separation
* Financial proceedings related to divorce and separation
* Private law children matters
* Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
* Cohabitation and separation agreements
Additional responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality service to existing clients
* Supporting the growth of the Family department through marketing and networking
* Assisting with fee income generation in line with agreed targets
* Keeping up to date with family law developments
* Following compliance, billing, and risk management procedures
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (13 years PQE)
* Demonstrated experience or training in family/matrimonial law
* Organised, proactive, and capable of managing or building up a caseload
* Strong communication, drafting, and client care skills
* Some understanding of AML regulations and Solicitors Account Rules
* Strong IT literacy, including experience with case management systems
Desirable:
* Experience preparing your own legal documents
* Interest or experience in marketing and business development
* Presentation or public speaking experience
* Familiarity with family law billing procedures
Role Details:
* Hours: Monday Friday, 9:00 am 5:15 pm (36.25 hours per week)
* Location: Lincolnshire/Midlands (any of the 8 offices)
* Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
