Ward Clerk (Band 3) - Antrim Area Hospital Have you got clerical experience in an office environment and looking for a role within the Public Sector? Apply now to hear more about this role! You’ll support daily ward operations, manage patient records using the EPIC/Encompass system (full training provided), and help ensure effective communication across departments. 1. £12.31 per hour
2. Antrim Area Hospital - Antrim
3. Hours of Work: 37.5 per week
4. Duration: 3 months initially

What you'll be doing in this role:
6. Act as first point of contact on ward bases for all disciplines and visitors to the department.
7. Answering telephone queries ensuring that messages are recorded correctly and passed on to the appropriate person.
8. Liaising with GP surgeries, medical and nursing staff, multi-disciplinary team members, other hospitals, medical records departments etc.
9. Frequent communication with distressed patients and relatives.
10. Record all admissions, discharges and transfers on the ward promptly on EPIC ensuring that demographic details are updated accurately.
Ensure adherence to NHSCT policy on POPI.
11. Provide a clerical service to the Ward/Department Manager, Nursing Staff and other professionals
What you'll need for this role:
12. 4 GCSEs to include English and Maths (Grade A*-C – please list grades) or equivalent AND 1 years’ clerical experience in an office environment to include the use of computerised systems e.g Microsoft Office
13. OR 3 year's clerical experience in an office environment to include the use of computerise systems e.g Microsoft Office
14. As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
