We are now looking to fill this permanent position, ideally based within a commutable distance to Chippenham.
Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a small team responsible for asset inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, commissioning, and assisting with installations of HUBER equipment.
The role requires a skilled, experienced, and qualified Electrical Technician/Electrician, familiar with mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, preferably from an electrical engineering services or plant/production maintenance background. Knowledge of three-phase low voltage motor control panels and qualification to 18th Edition IEE regulations is also desirable.
This position involves predominantly site work, with a company van provided for travel. Occasional travel to other parts of the UK may be required.
Your core responsibilities include:
* Optimising the performance of new installations and existing assets to support product provision and end-user service
* Ensuring HUBER installations and serviced equipment serve as good reference sites
* Final testing and commissioning of installations
* Servicing HUBER equipment and ancillary systems, including control systems
* Conducting site inspections for mechanical and electrical asset condition, troubleshooting, and fault finding
* Providing operator training for end-users
* Offering technical support to customers and internal departments
* Developing effective solutions for customer projects
* Gathering information on potential site work or future customer needs
* Supporting team growth by proactively assisting clients and promoting HUBER solutions
Your profile:
* Completion of an apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering, with at least four years’ experience
* Basic understanding of PLCs
* Ability to fault find from electrical schematics
* Willingness to assist Mechanical Technicians
* Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and suppliers
* Good IT skills
