Vision for Education are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Lichfield from September 2026.
About the Role
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop critical thinking skills, respect for diversity, and an understanding of different religious and non-religious perspectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher seeking a long-term role within a supportive school environment where high standards of teaching and learning are valued.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Inspire students to engage with a range of religious, ethical, and philosophical topics
3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student progress
4. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
5. Monitor and assess student achievement, providing constructive feedback
6. Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies
7. Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community
8. Promote respect, tolerance, and understanding of different beliefs and cultures
Requirements
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
10. Experience teaching Religious Education within UK secondary schools
11. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Ability to deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students
14. Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 RE curriculum
15. Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development
16. A genuine passion for Religious Education and promoting inclusive values
