IPS Employment Specialist – Mid Cornwall
This role supports Cornwall’s most excluded and disadvantaged people to return to work as part of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) team at WithYou. The position is based at the central Truro office and covers the West Cornwall area. It requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Support clients with CV writing and interview techniques.
* Engage with potential employers on the client’s behalf.
* Advise and motivate clients to pursue sustainable employment.
* Collaborate with community and multi‑agency partners.
* Provide flexible, unsocial hour support as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience of recruitment processes and employability skills development.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs to gain and/or maintain employment.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
* Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients and family/carers.
* Experience of multi‑agency partnership working.
* Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services.
* Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market.
* Ability to lead, motivate and nurture clients.
* Strong IT skills – ideally in Google Workspace.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Flexibility to work from different locations and unsocial hours.
