As part of our Hourly Paid Lecturer Pool, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning on an ad hoc basis to support curriculum delivery across the College. Opportunities may arise across a variety of subject areas, depending on business needs.
You will play a key role in supporting student success, delivering engaging sessions, and contributing to a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching sessions in your specialist subject area
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet learner needs
* Assess student work and provide constructive feedback

* Maintain accurate academic records as required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise – Essential
* Relevant qualification or significant industry experience in your subject area
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage and motivate learners
* Strong organisational skills
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise – Desirable
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* Experience teaching in Further Education or training environments
* Knowledge of current curriculum and assessment practices
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 - £48,160) – To be eligible, you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
* DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* Certificate in Education
* PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education)
* DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
* DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).
Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:
* PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
* SFHEA (Senior Fellowship)
* Masters in Education
* TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
