Manufacturing Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer improves production efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements using lean principles. This role supports production in areas such as safety, quality, throughput, cost reduction, and line balancing, and manages projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to boost productivity and reduce waste
* Support lean initiatives, work cell balancing, and workstation design
* Conduct time studies, method analysis, and layout planning
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures and engineering documentation
* Lead and support capital projects, including equipment selection and startup
* Collaborate with teams to resolve production issues and enhance efficiency
* Optimize material flow, batch sizes, and inventory handling
* Train staff on continuous improvement practices
Qualifications:
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years in industrial or lean manufacturing engineering
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
