Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30pm, term time only

Are you a psychology graduate passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Are you considering a career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or child and adolescent mental health? This Learning Support Assistant role in Slough offers an excellent foundation.

You will be joining a well-regarded specialist school catering for children aged 4 to 16 with high-support autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and complex needs. The school offers a creative, inclusive, and therapy-informed environment that fosters holistic development through communication, play, sensory integration, and structured learning.

The Learning Support Assistant Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups across a range of complex needs
* Help children develop communication, emotional regulation, and independence skills
* Work alongside therapists, SEN teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
* Gain exposure to therapeutic approaches such as ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and sensory integration strategies

* Schedule:Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:45pm
* Start Dates:11th July (for trial or short-term work) or 3rd September (for full academic year)
* Duration:Full academic year, with potential for extension or permanent opportunities
