We’re working with a well-established regional law firm who are looking for an Employment Paralegal to join their close-knit, legal 500 ranked Employment team. This is an opportunity to manage a respondent-focused caseload across both contentious and non-contentious matters while supporting fee earners and building long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities include:
* Conducting matters accurately and reliably in line with the firm’s quality and risk procedures (Lexcel and SRA Code of Conduct)
* Supporting fee earners with Employment Tribunal matters, including preparing Early Case Assessments, drafting ET3 responses, liaising with clients and the Tribunal, reviewing case papers, managing Preliminary Hearings, and assisting with witness statements
* Attending Tribunal hearings to provide support and take notes
* Carrying out legal research to assist ongoing matters and contribute to case strategy
* Preparing hearing and disclosure bundles, organising documents, and assembling files under direction of fee earners
* Working collaboratively with team members to deliver a seamless service to clients
What we need from you:
* Minimum of 12 months’ experience in employment law
* Strong technical understanding of employment law and its practical application
* Confident advocacy skills and ability to engage constructively with a wide range of stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team while managing competing priorities
* High levels of accuracy, organisation, and time management
