Overview
A rewarding locum opportunity is available for a Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridgeshire. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact on children and families while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working. Key Responsibilities
* Conduct statutory visits for children subject to Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC).
* Chair Child in Need and Core Group meetings.
* Manage a complex caseload, including cases involved in PLO or Section 31 Care Proceedings.
* Prepare and submit court reports, parenting assessments, and risk assessments.
* Attend court hearings with support from Senior Practitioners or Team Managers.
* Participate in Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences, preparing and presenting reports.
* Assess and manage risk in line with safeguarding legislation and procedures.
* Support the Duty rota and respond to urgent child protection concerns.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote family well-being.
