Supported Accommodation Manager – Tameside, Manchester
We are seeking a skilled manager to lead a 19‑bed service caring for young people aged 16‑18.
What you'll be doing
* Lead and manage a team to deliver high‑quality care within a supported accommodation setting for young people aged 16‑18.
* Ensure the highest standards of safety, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained.
* Implement and review support plans, conduct assessments, and monitor young people’s progress.
* Collaborate with external agencies, families, and multi‑disciplinary teams to promote growth, resilience, and belonging.
* Lead on policies, procedures, and crisis management, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Conduct staff appraisals, supervisions, and organise training to support team development.
* Be flexible to work Monday to Friday but on occasions on a sleep‑in shift where needed and participate in a 1‑in‑8 on‑call rota.
What you'll bring
* Proven experience leading a similar CYP‑focused service, ideally within supported accommodation.
* Level 4 or 5 in CYP or adult care; leadership experience in a CYP setting is essential.
* A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.
